Pamukkale University Clean Energy Center
"Pamukkale University Clean Energy Center" is an energy research laboratory heated by using solar energy and its electricity demand is met from solar energy and also hydrogen. It was installed in February 2007 in Denizli, Turkey. This center was supported by Turkish State Planning Organization (TSPO) and some private companies, e.g., Bereket Energy and Nexans as the part of a project entitled “Hydrogen Production Using Photovoltaics and Supplying the Electricity and Heat Requirements for a House from Solar Energy”. In the center, it is aimed that sciencists from different disciplines are studying together and doing projects about energy. Research interests are:
* Renewable Energy Sources and Technologies
- Solar Energy and Applications
> Electricity Production
> Heating (Active/Passive) and Cooling
> Drying
- Wind Energy and Applications
- Hydrogen and Hydrogen Technologies
> Hydrogen Production Methods
> Hydrogen Storage
> Fuel Cells
* Conventional/Alternative Heating-Cooling Technologies
- Absorption Cooling
- Vacuum Cooling Methods
